Twenty dollars and a new book

Very entertaining weekend. Let me begin with how it finished: I lost $20 betting on football. See, I have a tendency to preach the gambling rules of Bill Simmons, but rarely do I follow them. I decided to place $20 on the Pittsburgh Steelers because they were home, had an undefeated quarterback, AND WERE RECEIVING POINTS!!! Well, you win, Skelly.

Ah, the book. My good friend Kirk just finished reading a spectacular book, and we became engrossed in a conversation about it. Rarely do I read novels, but this one was quite intriguing. So today I began reading The Da Vinci Code. I can tell you after 4 chapters that this might end up being my favourite book of all time (I think the competition is like 3 other full length novels, and I was forced to read 2 in high school).

Pick up a copy if you get the chance. I do plan on sending a copy to brother bob since he is a fan of great literature.

2 weeks til Super Bowl. See you there.

And one last thing: Welcome back to the Dirty South, Guh.
